Camp Imagine is a combination extended school year (ESY) service
and camp experience for developmentally disabled children
in Pre-K through 12TH GRADE.

FOR those who qualify for ESY, WE OFFER individualized academic instruction, related services and recreational activities
for children from PRE-K through 21 years of age.
The program promotes the maintenance of skills to reduce regression during the summer months. Students are
PRIMARILY enrolled through their school district.

Our Mission

The mission of the Camp Imagine Board of Directors is to enrich the lives of children pre-K to 21 years of age with moderate to intensive special needs through our six (6) week summer camp experience.

What We've Achieved

We service 90+ students from 12 different school districts
We have been awarded grants to supplement the educational and therapeutic aims of the camp
Support the PALS peer mentoring program at Avon Lake High School

Implement a new job training program which was expanded to off-site locations in 2019

In-house work crew of middle aged campers who help with lunchroom and classroom cleanup.
